Day 01: Arrive Gaya
Arrival at Gaya International Airport from the source-destination where you will be warmly welcomed by the assistance. From here proceed to the pre-booked hotel at Bodh Gaya which is around 11 km away from the airport. Enjoy your meal here and then free for independent activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: See the beautiful and magnificent colours of Bodh Gaya
After the breakfast, pay a visit to Mahabodhi Temple, Mahabodhi Tree, Animesh Lochan Stupa, Chankraman Asthal, Ratanghar (Ratnagrih), Ajpal Tree, Muchalind Tank, Rajayatan and Vajrasana. All these places show the real sight of Buddhist culture and tradition. Overnight stay in the hotel at Bodh Gaya.
Day 03: Explore the City at full
In the morning, move to some other attractions of this religious city such as Jai Shree Mahabodhi Mahavihar, Temple of Burma, Temple of Japan, Temple of China, Temple of Tibet, Temple of Thailand, Temple of Bhutan, Ashoka Pillar and Sujata Place (Garh). Here, you will also find some of the monasteries which were established by Buddhists of Japan, Thailand, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, etc. Later in the evening, free for independent tour i.e. shopping and eating. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04: Arrive at Rajgir
Reach Rajgir- a place where Lord Buddha often pays a visit, assist and welcome by the representatives and transfer to hotel. Have a pleasant stay and then visit to some famous Buddhist sights here. In the late evening, move out for independent local sightseeing, shopping, etc. The city is also quite popular amongst the Jains. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Proceed to Nalanda and explore the city
In the morning leave to Nalanda from Rajgir, Check-in hotel and have your meal. Later, move out to visit the major attraction of this town which is ‘Nalanda University- World’s oldest University’. Nalanda which was the capital of the Magadha Empire also reflects the culture of Buddhism as Lord Buddha often came and preached here. In the evening, move for local sightseeing. Overnight in hotel.
Day 06: Explore Pawapuri
After breakfast, proceed to another fabulous place called Pawapuri which is around 38 kilometres away from Rajgir. After taking a good rest in the hotel, move to the famous Jalmandir and Samoahram. The places are quite close to the heart of Jains as the founder of Jainism, Lord Mahavira, took his last breath here. The place is also known as Apapuri and a number of Buddhists from different parts of the world also come here.
Day 07: Come to Vaishali
Reach Vaishali from Nalanda, rest in the hotel then move for local sightseeing. The place has great importance in the heart of every Buddhist as here; Lord Buddha preached his last sermon. The place is also known for the birthplace of Lord Mahavira. Enjoy independent tour later in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 08: Visit Kesaria, East of Champaran
Board a bus to the east of Champaran, district of Bihar, from where they;= move to Kesaria which is world largest and oldest stupa in its own. The stupa is a real sign of Lord Buddha which also reflects the colours of Buddhism. Enjoy a full day here and later overnight in hotel at Champaran.
Day 09: Leave to Lumbini
Move to Lumbini (Nepal) from Champaran which is approximately 22 kilometres inside from Indo-Nepal border. The place is known as the Mecca for every Buddhist and it is one of the four holy places of Buddhism. As Lord Buddha was born here, therefore, the place has great importance for every devotee. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: Reach Patna, the capital city of Bihar
In the morning, leave to Patna from Lumbini. After reaching here, check-in hotel and have a pleasant stay before moving to Mahatma Gandhi Setu. The tranquil atmosphere around the setu will surely give you great peace of mind. Enjoy a boat ride here. Later in the evening, free for the independent tour. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Explore the capital: the world’s oldest continuously inhabited place
Known as Patliputra earlier, Patna has many attractions in its lap. Each and every attraction will surely make your tour more enjoyable and memorable. The capital has an unbroken historical backdrop of the Mauryas and Guptas imperial dynasties.
Enjoy full day here while visiting places like Har Mandir Saheb, Patliputra Teerth, Patna Zoo, Bari Patan Devi Temple, Choti Patan Devi Temple, Gandhi Maidan, Golghar, Hardinge Park, Khuda Baksh Oriental Library, Kumhrar, Mahaveer Mandir , Munir Padri Ki Haveli, Pathar ki Masjid, Patna Golf Club, Patna Museum, Patna Planetarium, Rajendra Smriti Museum and Buddha Smiriti Park. Day 12: Arrive at New Delhi
After breakfast, enjoy shopping in Patna. Later transfer to Airport / Rly station by the representatives of Bihar Travel Tours to leave for New Delhi.
